friends exercise

find your why - the value of our lives is not determined by what we do for ourselves. the value of our lives is determined by what we do for others.

why are your friends your friends?

one - choose your five closest friends | the ones who are there no matter what; your people |

two - question why they are you friends with you | keep digging | do not accept generic answers that describe a good friend |

three - stay silent and keep listening | wait for the moment they start talking about themselves and how they feel |

four - clarify | ask them to describe what they really mean | what do you mean by "good" |

five - compare | find the similarities and key words |

you are now one step closer to finding your why.

WHY I HAVE FRIENDS.

you’re so much yourself. you’re not afraid to be who you are. and when you try to change, you only try to be a better version of that self, not change into someone different. you make me feel more like myself, its like coming home.
— krystal
i ever tell you you are probably the most positive influence i’ve probably had in my life. thank you. because you are very understanding. it’s easier for me to accept advice and orders from a person who understands me because i’m just so complicated.
— kassidy
you’re one of the few people who understand me when i am at my lowest of lows. i don’t think at all about what i say or do around you.
— nino
no because i have found someone who makes me feel it’s ok to be my weird self.
