North Shore Hiking
the time we almost made it to the view point.
super old nikes + snowy ice = snow surfing, slipping and falling give or take a dozen times trying not to slide off the mountain, into trees and creeks.
tips: there is still snow in june on the mountains, wear proper shoes and bring gloves.
random day of exploring lynn valley and ending up at Norvan Falls. five hours and 20km later.
tips: get there early, it can get super busy and the water is swimmable.
smoggy summer fire hike with my 15 year old dog.
- 8kms and 350m elevation gain
- 2.5 hours
- first part has the most incline and switch backs
- some technical terrain with roots
- could have a nice view? but couldn't confirm.
tips: lots of bugs, bring insect repellent, trail can be muddy.
the hike you do, and always wonder why you put yourself through it while you do it but never regret it when you reach the top.
- 2.9km and 853m elevation gain
- step ups all the way
- bugs, bugs and bugs
- go early, it can get busy and crowded.
- cannot hike down, $20 to get down by gondola.
tips: take your time, its more of a workout than a hike but it's rewarding. look forward to seeing the bears at the top of the mountain.
