celebrating in scottsdale
there are only a handful of people i would put on a dress & heels for, stay up past my bedtime 3 nights in a row for, and drink tequila for, and my high school best friend is one of them.
i do not remember the last time i went clubbing and i have no idea what makes a club good but i know i had an unforgettable weekend with these girls celebrating one of my best friend’s last weekend as a single lady.
here is everything you need to know about our stagette weekend to scottsdale arizona, apparently the new ‘las vegas’.
the deets on our airbnb “Renovated Family-Friendly Getaway in Scottsdale with a Pool”
4 bedroom bungalow that sleeps 12 people with 3 full bathrooms. perfect for 7 girls but we blew all the bathroom outlets…
located approximately 15 minutes away from everything you need; restaurants, grocery stores and clubs.
35-40 minute round trip walk to the closest starbucks
25-30 minute round trip walk to a plaza with dunkin donuts, gas station and CVS
very clean, modern design & style
pool & turfed lawn
outdoor seating for 6 but with only 2 lawn chairs
garage is equipped with a pingpong & futsal table
i would definitely stay again and recommend anyone to stay here who is looking for a house for a large group.
a stagette is not complete without brunch.
MERCI French Cafe and Patisserie - Thursday afternoon
Open faced BLT Pesto sandwich with an overload of bacon
Would definitely go back, food and service was good, super cute decor but would probably ask them to go easy on the bacon.
Hash Kitchen - Friday afternoon
Veggie Scrambler & Hash
Would definitely NOT go back, service was terrible and for a place called Hash, the hash browns were not good. We waited approximately 45 minutes to get our food, people who showed up after us finished their food and left before we got ours, the server got 3 out of 7 orders wrong and then tried to charge us for it. the server disappeared for long periods of time.
Craft & Farm - Saturday afternoon
We got a coffee while waiting for a table, super cute restaurant and would definitely want to go back and try their food.
Breakfast Club - Saturday afternoon
Border bowl with no meat, extra veggies and avocado
Would go back but would try other breakfast places before going back, great service and was super flexible with modifications.
or complete without some good food before a evening of dancing.
North Italia - Friday Night
Prosciutto, mission fig, goat cheese & arugula flat bread pizza
Hands down one of my favourite pizza topping combinations, could eat this all day, everyday.
Would definitely go back to try more items on the menu.
The Mission - Saturday Night
Latin American food, dim setting with a dress code
Guacamole, fresh made in front of your table.
Prime Flat Steak, Pan de bono, charred leek + scallion soubise & tomatilla salad
One of the best steaks I have had in a long time, the flavours were on point and was cooked perfectly
Would definitely go back and try their tacos.
the dinners did not disappoint and would recommend both restaurants.
and of course the final destination of the day to old town scottsdale where you will find 2 blocks of nightclubs within seconds of each other.
Bottled Blonde - thursday night
food is terrible, don’t eat here if you could avoid it. typical pub food.
unreal 90’s and early 2000 music until about 1am, then it turned into gangsta rap & techno
El Hefe - friday night
tables are perfect for people watching
okay music until about 12am, then it turned into gangsta rap & techno
nice outdoor patio seatting area with
okay music until about 12am, then it turned into gangsta rap & techno
If i had to pick a place to go back to, i would definitely pick bottled blonde even though I witness some really funny things at El Hefe.
