aimless in seattle
our weekend getaway to seattle where we wandered aimlessly, drank more coffee, shopped more, took more steps than we ate real food.
some of the best trips are the ones with bridgitte the cat as your airbnb host, no expectations, no real plans, no timelines, no work, no heavy conversations, just the desire to be exactly where we are; together.
shopping + food + coffee + naps + cat petting + snacks + exploring + ball game
apparently, i can survive without food.
panera breads - our first stop before hitting up the seattle premium outlets. fresh sandwiches and creamy mac and cheese.
the wood shop bbq - our trip would not be complete without trying to find the best bbq in town. probably some of the best ribs i have had in awhile, the meat melted off the bone. matt liked the brisket, me not so much.
piroshky piroshky at pike place market - not sure why everyone lines up for this, it had good texture but wasn’t very flavourful and the kicker is there is another location that is a 7 minute walk away with no lineup..
ballpark food at the seattle mariner’s game - cantina nachos + chicken tenders & fries, not bad for ballpark food but what do I know? i don’t watch sports…
but cannot survive without coffee.
broadcast coffee - really good americano, definitely would go back.
cherry street coffee house - busy coffee shop in downtown seattle, nothing notable.
general porpoise - fresh made, handmade custard donuts + slingshot coffee. ummm delicious, a unexpected stop on our walk back to our airbnb.
stumptown coffee - one of our fav coffee shops so we had to stop in. refreshed ourselves with iggy's kombucha & the citrus cold brew shrub
squirrel chop - quick pitstop for the morning drive home. we enjoyed the americano better than the drip coffee.
thank you, seattle for a perfect sunny weekend getaway together but we probably won’t see you again for awhile.
bucket list when and if we go back.
